California State Fair- July 2012 - The oldest and most prestigious wine competition in North America had huge amounts of wine to consider in this competition with nearly 2,900 wines from 688 producers. The judging alone took three days and more than 2,100 medals were given, including 74 double gold, 268 gold, 1,195 silver and 734 bronze.
