Temecula, Calif. – If you watch TV, odds are you’ve seen one of BJ Fazeli’s products. For the past two decades, the Orange County-based businessman has made a name for himself developing and marketing a wide range of car care and home fitness products.
The savvy entrepreneur, however, is developing his latest product line among the rolling hills and vineyards of the Temecula Valley.
Fazeli and his family with the help of Temecula Valley Winery Management have created a line of six boutique wines that reflect his passion for wine and his Persian roots.
“We are in Temecula because it is recognized as a destination as Southern California’s Wine Country,” Fazeli explained. “We originally looked at the area several years ago and fell in love with the Temecula Valley.”
Fazeli Cellars’ wines are featured at The Collective, a unique tasting lounge that features one of a kind, handmade boutique wines created by owners of four micro-wineries with the assistance of Temecula Valley Winery Management , a full-service winery management company that has dramatically lowered the cost of entry into the wine business.
On Dec. 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. Fazeli Cellars will hold the first release party for its wine club members to celebrate the winter solstice and Yalda, Persian word for longest night of the year and a Fazeli red wine that is a complex blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Mouvedre grapes.
Fazeli Cellars wine club members will eat Persian finger foods and pomegranate, a traditional winter fruit, in The Collective’s second-story Club Lounge. Along with Yalda, wine club members will receive another red wine and a bottle of Norooz, a white blend of Viognier and dry Muscat Canelli named after the Persian New Year, which falls on the first day of spring.
The Collective tasting room is located in a two-story 2,800-square-foot building in historic Old Town Temecula. The main lounge, which is open five days a week to the public, features a spectacular up-lit onyx wine bar and cozy bench seating for patrons.
Wine lovers can sample six different wines for $12 as part of a balanced tasting of red and white wines that changes each week. Glasses and bottles of wine for less than $30 are also available as are small plates of gourmet food from the neighboring Edge restaurant.
A little more than two years after opening its doors, Temecula Valley Winery Management has helped dozens of clients realize the dream of starting their own wineries at a fraction what it would cost to build a winery from scratch.
TVWM’s Virtual Vineyard to Vendor facility on Diaz Road in Temecula allows small winemakers and growers to create and market their own boutique wines. The 33,000-square-foot facility operates as a fully bonded winery host facility and provides a secured space for multiple winemakers to process their own grapes and produce their own wines under the guidance of award-winning consulting winemaker Tim Kramer.
Temecula Valley Winery Management is the only true full-service winery management company in Southern California. In addition to crush, fermentation and bottling capabilities, TVWM will set up and manage wine clubs with its proprietary software, train staff, establish a proven restaurant placement program, manage special events, ensure regulatory compliance and market and promote your winery and its wines.
The Collective is located at 28544 Front Street, Temecula, CA 92590, next door to the Edge restaurant. It is open Wednesday-Thursday from 3 to 10 p.m., Friday-Saturday from noon to 12 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m. For more information call (951) 693-4567 or (951) 699-8896 or go to www.tvwinecollective.com
